The old churchyard cemetery surrounds the ruins of the old Methlick Parish Church of 1780 which was built on the site of an even older church.
Within the walled ruins enclosure are burials of the 1st, 3rd and 5th earls and other members of the family including Lord Haddo, the father of the 4th Earl of Aberdeen who died in 1796.
Names on recorded headstones can be checked on the ANESFHS MIDatabank. There is also a new cemetery on the outskirts of Methlick.
