Sedgley is a suburban area in the north of the Dudley Metropolitan Borough, considered a large village or small town, in the West Midlands county in England.
Historically a part of the mining district of Staffordshire, Sedgley is situated along the A457 road between Wolverhampton and Dudley, and was formerly the seat of an ancient manor comprising several smaller villages which were later merged into the Dudley County Borough in 1966.
PRIMITIVE METHODIST CHAPEL was built 1857; Sunday school added in 1881. Located on corner of Tipton Road and Turls Street.
Underwent extensive alterations in 1912 and again in 1929 before being reroofed and refloored in 1931. The building was unique amongst Methodist Chapels as it had several stained glass windows which were dedicated to past church goers and benefactors. The organ was installed in 1906.
Tipton Street was sold from the circuit in about 2005 and is no longer a worshiping church. The building is still there and has been converted to offices.
