Edward Carey Kenney was born on August 3 1914, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was the youngest of three children born to Francis Louis Kenney and Anne Alphonse Carey. He had an older brother, Francis L., Jr. and a sister, Sister M. Ina (Virginia Anna), IHM. He served in the US Army during WWII and achieved the rank of First Lieutenant. He married Joan Kroeger in 1949. He died on July 26, 2012 at the age of 97 and was buried with his wife in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetrey in Owing Mills, Maryland.
