TURMAN, McDonald, 85, of Chesapeake, passed away Thursday, December 30, 1999 at Chesapeake General Hospital.

He was the son of the late Mack and Dora Hollandsworth Turman.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Daphnia V. Turman; six brothers, Harley, Hardie, Mowyer, Paul, Foster and Frank Turman; two sisters, Maggie Dalton and Sophia Turpin.

He served in World War II in the Army Air Corps, and retired from the Norfolk Naval Air Station as a master Aviation Mechanic.

Surviving are three sons, Donald Rodney Turman, Herndon, Va., Gary Lee Turman and Hal Eugene Turman, Chesapeake, Va.;
two sisters, Annie Dalton, Virginia Beach, Va. and Maudie Turman, Hillsville, Va.;
five grandchildren and one great-grandson.

He was a loving, caring and faithful husband and father who will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Indian Valley Church of God with Rev. Kenneth Poston officiating.

Burial will follow in Captain George Quesenberry Cemetery, Indian Valley, Va.

Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd, Va. is in charge of arrangements.
