So thrilled for this place where we can meet and work together honor those gone...it's been an absolute pleasure inputting and maintaining memorials.

***Please keep in mind Find A Grave contributors are VOLUNTEERS, not your employees.***
I try to check my emails daily, however I work full-time and have a large family I try to see/take care of. If I do not respond immediately, give me a couple of days-please.

*I do make mistakes, as do others on this site. Please be kind while correcting. Name calling and irrational responses are, well, immature. We can work together to make things right. And remember, all of those census records, death certificates and obituaries were written by humans who made mistakes also. If you are using Ancestry-I can tell you as a volunteer transcriber...there are a LOT of erroneous information due to a volunteer transcriber not being familiar with names, especially in Louisiana with French/Creole/Spanish/Hebrew among other foreign surnames.

*Please use the edit for information that can be made simply like links, dates, places, etc. It makes it easy on us contributors to click the button and be taken to the memorial or just to go to our suggested edit to approve. **Please note only children can be linked to parents, not vice versa. Memorial managers cannot remove another contributor's photo, death certificate scan, copies of obituaries that have been added to a memorial. *If any material is added to the memorials via add a photo and it does not have my name under it I CANNOT REMOVE THAT PHOTO. You will have to contact the contributor whose name is under the photo to have it removed. I am so sorry, I wish I could, but that is not the way things work at the present time.

*I'd appreciate if someone making changes let me know EXACTLY what is wanted on the memorial's bio information section while making changes via SUGGEST A CORRECTION. Occasionally I get emails with random webpages, scant information etc. and nothing else. So I do not know if I should copy and paste the information or if it is sent as a source. I'd like to make sure I am following the wishes of the person making the edit/suggestion.

*I do not keep detailed notes on every memorial. I just do not have the time. Also edits disappear as soon as they are approved and I trash bin emails quarterly. Sadly, I cannot remember some details since I have over 30k memorials. I have subscriptions to Ancestry and Newspapers.com so I can do a little research if necessary to confirm information that is available on those sites.

*I get numerous of inquiries about the cemeteries I have transcribed into memorials located in the Feliciana parishes. Please know I am not geographically close, nor have I ever in-person visited these cemeteries. My source for them are from several old transcription books from that area. I do not possess the books, I had checked them out via intra-library loan years ago. I have not been successful in re-checking those out in the recent past. I do know most of the smaller cemeteries are on private land. While I wish I could be of further help on locations, burials, etc. I have no way to assist in this area. I recommend contacting the library in the parish you are interested in to see if someone there can direct you to a book, periodical or genealogical group. If I do come across any information I will do my best to get that info on the cemetery page or memorial affected.

I wish all ancestor seekers good luck in pulling those threads that lead to our families!
