DIED.
SISLER--At her home, south of Stanwood, Monday, April 24, 1899, Mrs. Catherine Sister, of stomach trouble, aged 79 years and 23 days.

Catherine Litzsel was born in Huntington county, Pennsylvania, April 1, 1820, and was married to Samuel Sister Dec. 26th, 1841, and came to Iowa in 1851. To this union were ten children, five boys and five girls, eight of whom are still live to mourn her loss.

Deceased and her husband were converted to God in 1841 and joined the Lutheran church. Several years later they, with a number of their children, were united with the Methodist church, in which faith they lived to the end, the husband and father having passed away April 1, 1899.

Mrs. Sisler was always a kind and loving wife, mother and friend, esteemed by all who knew her in life, in death she is mourned by a large circle of friends and acquaintances, and the bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community. The funeral was conducted from the Presbyterian church at Red Oak, yesterday, April 26th, at 11 o'clock by Rev. Hudson; and a large concourse of relatives and friends followed the remains to their last resting place in the Red Oak cemetery. Her's was a true christian life and therefore she was called to something higher,--Stanwood Herald.

Catherine Sisler, 79, died Monday, April 24, 1899, at her home south of Stanwood, of stomach trouble.

The funeral was conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 26, from the Red Oak Presbyterian Church, rural Tipton, with Rev. Hudson officiating. Burial will in the Red Oak Cemetery, rural Tipton, Iowa.

Catherine Litzsel was born April 1, 1820, in Huntington County, Pennsylvania, April 1, 1820. She married Samuel Sister on December 26, 1841. Together they came to Iowa in 1851.
