Anita Smith was born on July 11, 1931 to Othie and Gladys (Winters) Smith in Detroit, Michigan. She attended school and graduated high school. Anita worked various places as a secretary: Dowell in Perryton, Priestley-Langhorne, Dalhart, and Citizen State Bank in Dalhart. She worked at Bar H as a hostess and that is what she enjoyed most because she got to visit with people. Anita loved her animals and her special friend whom she loved like a daughter, Shayla Hornoff.
She is survived by her son Rande and his wife Peggy Kelley of Dalhart, TX, Brothers: Gerald & Patricia Smith of Ft. Worth, TX, Clifford and his wife Peggy Smith of Tucson, AZ, Sister: Lydia Smith of Roy, NM, Granddaughters: Stephanie Kelley of Lubbock, TX. Angela Reynolds of Dalhart, TX, Grandsons: Matt Kelley of Dallas, TX, Padric & Mellissa Dillon of Temple TX 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Howard L Smith and John E. Smith, Sister, Beverly Jean Marker and grandson, John Dillon
