We know more about Wilhelm before he arrived in America than after. Most of that learned was via Imler Descendant Family working with German Genealogist or actually, like Michael Schumacher working actually on sight. Visiting the actual houses that Wilhelm lived in and where he was employed. Michael Schumacher is extremely fluent Auf Deutsche as well as several other European Languages and lives full time in Switzerland with his Swiss wife and family. He is an design engineer for a European Railway Company.

After arrival in America, that was confirmed from the records of the Sailing Ship Mary, no deaths, no burials at sea Wilhelm is never heard of again, in any form of writing. It is thought due to the un-explained illness while in route he died soon after arrival, probably Philadelphia, Pa. and was buried in an unknown location.

Pate (God Parent) was Herr Georg Heinisch

The Anna Maria (20 years old) that shows up in the Betty shiplist is probably Wilhelm's 2nd wife.

Wilhelm was the Hofmeier/Hofbauer to Pistorius, the reverand in Münzesheim. The Pfarrhof was right across the street from the church.

He was born in Suffersheim, Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen, Bayern, Deutschland (Neudorf, südlich von Suffersheim, nordich von Pappenheim), which was being ruled at that time by Bavaria. Today this region belongs to Baden-Württemberg.

Wilhelm Immler~Imler (either spelling is common place in Deutschland, then and now) in different Genealogy Text in the English translation of his name as William Imler. Doubt seriously if he ever used the English version of his first name and since he is thought to have died early after arrival in America had no reason to consider the change.

All adult male immigrants were required by a law instituted in 1727 to renounce their allegiance to their homeland's government and swear allegiance to the English government upon arrival at a port in the British colonies. (from to The Minutes of the Provincial Council, printed in Colonial Records, Vol. III, page 457 ) 16 adult males were on board the ship "Charming Betty" but only 15 pledged the Oath of Allegiance. Since Wilhelm Imler is not on the list who pledged Allegiance and since he arrived "sick", it is reasonable to think that he died within days of the ship's docking.
