Born to William Andrew Herron (1836-1926) & Elizabeth Jane Wrenn Herron (1840-1902).

Caroline married Sampson Philip Cansler (1858-1918) on Jan. 16, 1883, in Panola County, MS. No children. They lived in Little Rock, Ark., and owned a grocery store at 1700 W. 7th Street, which was also their residence. They had no children.

After her husband died in 1918, she moved back to Panola County, MS. However, the cemetery office has no record of her burial here with her parents and siblings. I have placed her here in the same cemetery with them because the article at left says she was buried in the Batesville Cemetery. She died in the middle of the Great Depression and was childless, so she may be in an unmarked grave.
