Adams Cemetery
Giles County, Tennessee, USA
According to notes made by F. Rivers, in the southern end of the cemetery are the graves of two Confederate soldiers killed when John Bell Hood came into Tennessee in the fall of 1864. These graves are unmarked.
One is for Thomas Koonce from Shelby County who served in Co. E, 12th Tennessee Cavalry. He was wounded 27 September 1864, 4 miles south of Pulaski. He died 19 October 1864 at the residence of W. T. Adams.
The other grave is for Capt. Edward Daly from Shelby County. He was also from the 12th Tennessee Cavalry. He was killed 27 September 1864.
The two graves were originally marked by wooden crosses, now long gone.
