This cemetery is owned by the City of Crown Point, offically known as the City of Crown Point's Historic Maplewood Cemetery, (219) 663-5881.

This cemetery is the west half of the block shown on the Google map below as Maplewood Memorial Cemetery. Maplewood Memorial is a privately owned cemetery that encompasses the east half of the map block. The name "Maplewood Historic Cemetery" was selected for purposes of Find-a-Grave's cemetery search feature to help eliminate the confusion.

Maplewood Historic Cemetery extends west to the imaginary northeast corner of Wells and Pettibone Streets separated from Maplewood Memorial Cemetery to its east by a line of trees than run north-south through the joint cemetery block. Maplewood Historic Cemetery is accessed either on the south by Wells Street or on the north from Maple Lane. Maplewood Memorial Cemetery is accessed only from S. Indiana Avenue.
