|Cemetery notes and/or description:|
Located in VanBuren township on county road 650N, west of Indiana State Road 9 and north of Indiana State Road 120.
A COMMON MISCONCEPTION IS THAT THIS CEMETERY IS ONE IN THE SAME AS CRAMPTON CORNERS CEMETERY, HOWEVER, CRAMPTON CORNERS WAS A SEPARATE GRAVE YARD WHICH NO LONGER EXISTS - THE HEADSTONES WERE MOVED TO RIVERSIDE CEMETERY, HOWE.
The Crampton Corners headstones moved to Riverside are for: John, Mary, George and Mary A. Cook as well as the headstone for Willie Crampton.
The cemetery is listed in the Cemetery and Burial Grounds Registry of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and in the State Historical Architectural and Archaeological Research Database (SHAARD) with Cemetery Record Number CR-44-71 (Eagley).
The Indiana Historic Sites and Structures Inventory (IHSSI) survey number for Eagley Cemetery is 087-588-10041 with the dataset compiled in 2002.
Indiana Cemetery Locations, Volume 2, published by the Indiana Genealogical Society (01 April 2006), gives the primary cemetery name as Eagley Cemetery with alternate names of Callahan Cemetery and Cowen Cemetery.
