This cemetery has been abandoned for any number of years--and was only recently found. It is terribly overgrown and semi-difficult to get to. Do not venture off of Martin Road in a car of any type--truck only, and if there has been 'heavy' rains recently--don't go at all! Leaving off of Martin Road on to this very narrow lane, one could get stuck and not be able to get out--as you must travel down a dirt/grass single lane old lane approx. 300 yds--park your vehicle, and walk another 100 yds to reach the area where these graves are. Look for white towel tied to tree limb, reaching this point you are there at gravesites.
Directions to this cemetery:
From Zeirdt Road and Hwy 20 (Madison Pike) intersection--travel south on Zeirdt Road until you come to Martin Road intersection (there is a gas station on the southwest corner). Turn right onto Martin Road, and travel 'west' approx. one mile (just pass the Huntsvill Fire House on your left) and before you come to the two-lane bridge--on your left you will see a 'piped' culvert-area and grass/dirt lane going due south through the trees. You need to turn left and go down the lane south approx 200 yds until you reach the fork in the lane; bear to your left and travel approx. 100 yds east until you come to small clearing where the lane turns due south again. You want to park here and strike-out due north and go approx. 100 yds until you see either the white towel tied to a small tree limb or small mounding (appprox 18" high). NOTE: lots of skeeters and snakes in this entire wooded area; take water, cell phone, necessary precautions!
