Actress. Her first husband was Harold Chapin actor and playwright who died in Flanders in 1915, with whom she had a son, Harold "Vally" Chapin. She appeared in a tribute production after her husband's death. She went on to Marry James Browning in 1927. Her Maternal family are the APCARS of India, her great grandfather was the founder of the shipping firm Apcar & Co in 1819 in Calcutta.
