On June 29, 2005, it was reported that Harvey drowned in her bathtub at the age of 35, but under mysterious circumstances. The actual result of her death was found to be an overdose of fentanyl (a painkiller). At the time of her death she was facing a possible life sentence for a drug possession charge filed in Gulfport, Mississippi.
