John Archibald Gibson was born in Missouri , the son of Archibald W and Elizabeth (Kent) Gibson. He married Mary Bogart "Molly" Cantrell in Lane County and followed her family to Crook County, Oregon. They would have children John Jr, Rosie J, Joe, Grover, Ralph, Ernest, Christine, and Sadie. Molly died in 1940 and is buried in Prineville at Juniper Haven Cemetery along with Christina who married Robert Kester, Sadie who married Charles Roberts, Joe, Grover, and John. I believe Rosie married William Gibson the son of Arthur and Margaret Gibson. John died at the age of 72 and is buried at Knox Cemetery.
