Actor, Musician. Monteith, who will best be remembered for his role as Finn Hudson on the television series 'Glee' from 2009 through 2013, launched his acting career when he was 19, landing minor roles on TV series such as 'Stargate: Atlantis', 'Young Blades', 'Smallville' and 'Kyle XY'. On the big screen he appeared in 'Bloody Mary' (2006), 'Final Destination 3' (2006), 'Deck the Halls' (2006) and 'The Invisible' (2007) before his big break came in 2009 when he landed the role of a football player-turned glee club singing star on the TV show 'Glee', which in 2011 earned the cast a Screen Actors Guild award for best ensemble in a comedy. He went on to make several more appearances on film including 'Monte Carlo' (2011) and 'McCanick' (2013). He was also a drummer in the band 'Bonnie Dune', had substance abuse problems in his youth which required a family intervention and several stints in rehab. Monteith, who in March of 2013 had sought treatment for addiction, was found dead in a Canadian hotel.
