Professor Race Car Driver. He was a New Zealand Formula One Driver, who was the 1967 Formula One World Champion, driving a Brabham. Between his first 1965 race in Monaco and his last 1974 US Grand Prix, he started 112 races, eight victories, with 33 podiums and nine fastest laps. He died after a heart attack while at the wheel of a BMW M3 during the Bathurst 1000 in Australia. He also finished third in the overall standing in 1968 and 1972. In 2002, he was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame and appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to motorsport in the 1992 Queen's Birthday Honours.
