Singer. A vocalist best known for his ballads, he successfully yielded a number of singles on the music charts. Among them "Innamorata (Sweetheart)" (1956), "You Don't Know Me" (1956) and "Have You Looked Into Your Heart" (1965). He may perhaps be best remembered for the song "Al Di La" (1962). Born Genaro Vitaliano, he was a shoe shine boy at a local barber shop until his musical influences which included Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin led him to take singing lessons. While a teenager, he performed on New York's nightclub circuit, which led to his recording career. He was a Las Vegas attraction for more than two decades and appeared on several TV programs and in films.
