Elsie May Heisler DePrisco was the beloved daughter of John and Mary Jane (Peterson) Heisler. Her grandparents were all immigrants. The two Heisler grandparents came to the United States from Germany before 1863. On her mother's side, her grandfather, Christian Peterson, came from Denmark, and her grandmother, Elizabeth (Deacon) Peterson, came from Ireland.
