Russian Athlete. Born in Voronezh, she was a middle-distance runner who is best known for winning a gold medal in the Women's 3,000 Meter Run during the 1992 Summer Olympics at Barcelona. Her other major wins during her career include the gold medal in the Women's 10,000 Meter Run and a silver medal in the Women's 3,000 Meter Run at the European Championships in 1990. She also had first place finishes during the Goodwill Games in 1990 and 1994. After retiring from competition, she worked as a trainer and coach.
