She was the daughter of Allen Blue Carman and Clara Ethel Burks. Better known as Opal, she married Lee Walton May 2, 1933, in Roscoe. They moved to Odessa in 1945 from Sweetwater. She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Loved to sew and worked for West Side Upholstery shop for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1997; and a brother, Dean Carman in 1992.

She is survived by two daughters, Peggy Inman of Alamogordo, N.M., and Glenda Heath of Odessa; two sisters, Buna Collier and Alene Monday of Odessa; one brother, Hollis Carman of Palestine; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren..

PLEASE NOTE MARGIE OPAL CARMAN WALTON WAS ONLY MARRIED ONCE AND THAT WAS TO LEE WALTON. I DO NOT KNOW WHY IT ATTACHED THE OTHER PERSON. I CAN NOT CORRECT IT AS IT CAME FROM HIS SITE.
