US Congressman. Elected to represent Wisconsin's 5th District in the United States House of Representatives, he served from 1933 to 1939. He also served as a Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1932, and as a Regional Director of the Wage and Hour Public Contracts Division for the United States Department of Labor in Chicago from 1939 to 1956.
