Painter. Considered one of the leading Spanish Painters of the 18th century. Born in Segorbe, Castellón, Boronat studied in Valencia and Madrid. In 1753 he settled in Comunidad Valenciana, where he created one of his most important paintings, "The Last Supper." In the second half of the century he also prolific as an illustrator. Boronat founded the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Valencia and was named a member of the Royal Academy of San Fernando in Madrid. His many works include murals for the Cartuja de Portacoeli, the Church of San Martin, Monestir de El Puig and for the Cathedrals of Mallorca and Valencia, and the canvases "La Inmaculada Concepción" and "Parejas en un Parque," exhibited in the Museo del Prado.
