Isaac Peter "Pete" Burch was born in Monroe Co IN on 14 May 1878 the youngest son of William and Susan [Storm] Burch. He was most likely named for his uncle, Isaac Storm, and for his maternal grandfather, Peter Storm.

Pete's father, William, was a farmer, and Pete took up farming as well. To my knowledge, Pete never left his parents' home. He and several of his siblings continued to share the family home into adulthood. At the time of his death Pete and wife were sharing the home with his unmarried siblings, Matilda and Asbury.

In 1920 Pete married Mamie Lake, an orphan girl who had been boarding with his family for about ten years. At the time of the marriage Pete was 32 and his wife was 20. Together the couple had four sons:

William N Burch 1912 – 2001
Everett Edwin Burch 1914 – 1985
John E Burch 1916 –
Morris Preston Burch 1920 – 1973

Pete died 11 Jan 1945 at the age of 66.
