American Socialite, Hotel Heir. The oldest child of Conrad Nicholson Hilton, Sr., founder of the Hilton Hotel chain, and his first wife, Mary Adelaide Barron. His parents were married in 1925 and divorced in 1934. His younger brothers were William Barron Hilton (known as Barron) and Eric Hilton. Barron is the grandfather of Paris Hilton and Nicolai Olivia (also known as "Nicky") Hilton Rothschild. His paternal grandfather was born in Norway, according to J. Randy Taraborelli's 2014 book, "The Hiltons." Upon his birth, his father was said to have commented he was, "not unduly red, had big eyes, curly hair and was quite a howler." To distinguish him from his father, he was called "Nicky" while his father was called "Connie." Nicky attended Loyola University of L.A. and Ecole Hotliere in Lausanne, Switzerland. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Navy as a radarman attached to BB55, I Division, Battleship USS North Carolina. His first marriage was to actress Elizabeth Taylor. They were married on May 6, 1950 and divorced on January 29, 1951. His second wife was oil heiress Patricia "Trish" McClintock. They married on November 26, 1958 and had two sons, Conrad III, and Michael. They divorced in 1965. At the time of his death, he was president of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. He also served as director of TransWorld Airlines and the El Paso National Bank. He died in his sleep from an alcohol-related heart attack. His funeral mass was held at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church in West Los Angeles.
