THANK YOU MICHAEL HARRINGTON for sponsoring Randy's memorial. There is something so reassuring about life, death and humanity in the kindness of strangers. On behalf of the family and myself, you, and all those who leave tokens and kind sentiments, give us such solace.

Randy was the son of Tony and Tammi Crawford. He loved the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He was diagnosed with ALL, a type of leukemia, when he was 6. Even though he was very often a quiet and soft-spoken child, he was the toughest little boy I have ever known. He fought the disease for three years seeming confident, fearless and tough. His loss devastated many and he will never be forgotten. His mother Tammi died in her 30s and is also buried in this cemetery.

Randy was worried about the stares he would get after chemo because he had lost his hair. In walked his step-father with his own long hair completely shaved off and told him "if they are staring at you they will be staring at me too."

The day before he died he asked his mother if he was dying and she told him the truth. She told him not to be afraid because his grandma would be there waiting for him. He did not shed a tear. Randy, his mother and his father showed absolute courage, bravery and faith while being dealt one of life's most horrible blows.

Randy wanted to grow up and own a "hot rod."
