Scott Thomas Garlick, 19, Duncansville, died Monday evening in Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of James L. & Amy K. (Niemeier) Garlick. Surviving are his parents, Duncansville; brothers: Ryan, serving with the U.S. Army in Hawaii, and James 'Chris' at home; and his grandparents: John T. & Thelma Garlick, Altoona. He was pre-deceased by grandparents: Andrew & Sally Niemeier. He attended Dry Run Independent Baptist Church and Puzzletown Bible Church. Scott was employed at the Subway Restaurant on 58th Street, Altoona. He was a member of the senior class at Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School, where he was a member of the soccer team. He also attended Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center, Altoona, studying electronics. He received the senior of the year award for electronic technology and was to attend Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, Ebensburg Campus, on a scholarship. Scott was a member and vice president of SkillsUSA. He enjoyed his family and friends, playing paintball, helping others, driving around with his friends, playing guitar and saxophone and writing music. Scott enjoyed life. He was very proud of his Pontiac Sunfire with its GARLICK license plate. Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg. Private interment, Grandview Cemetery, Altoona.
