Rebecca Jane Monnette, née Burtsfield, was born in Grand Prairie Township in April 1892, the daughter of John Wesley and Emily (Foos) Burtsfield. Married I.R. Monnette on March 1, 1913, in Marion Ohio. Mother of John E. (Gladys), Paul (Anita), and Damon (Pauline), daughter Mary Jean Koblentz of Shaker Heights, Ohio. Also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and brother Charles Burtsfield (Beulah). Preceded in death by parents, and daughter Harriet Ann Ludwig (1953).
