The funeral will be from the home at 1 Monday afternoon, Rev. Reed of Roy officiating, and will be followed by a short service at the Masonic cemetery near Steilacoom at 3. The funeral will be under the direction of George W. Piper.
Mrs. Murray was the daughter of Sir Charles Ross of Victoria and married Henry A. Murray there in January, 1851. Her husband died about seven years ago. Mrs. Murray was prominent in the early activities of women pioneers of Pierce county and was noted for her generous hospitality and kindness to her neighbors and especially to the newly arriving immigrants. The surviving sons are Edward E. Murray, Nelson Murray, John L. Murray and George F. Murray; three daughters, Mrs. Agnes Hawk, living near the old homestead; Mrs. W.A. Taylor, Day Island; Mrs. W.A. Smith, Fox Island, and 25 grandchildren. The pallbearers will be the adult grandsons.
