British actor: Son of actor, Henry Ainley, and brother of Anthony Ainley. He was married to and divorced from Ethel Glendinning (one daughter) and Betzi Beaton. He married Dr Rowena Woolf in 1961 and they had three children. He died at his home, 28 Princes Avenue, Muswell Hill. His body was cremated on 25 May 1967 and the ashes scattered in the cemetery.
