Originally from New Jersey, Mr. Guadagno was the manager of the Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge, US Fish and Wildlife service. He was a 1984 graduate of Rutgers University's Cook College. His many interests included cooking, taxidermy and furniture-making but his greatest love was nature. He was the son of Jerry and Beatrice Guadagno and the brother of Lori. At the time of his death, Mr. Guadagno lived in Eureka, California with his beloved German Shepherd, Raven. His acre parcel of land had 150 trees that he had planted himself. He was flying home after attending his grandmother's 100th birthday celebration.
