Mrs. Grace Ackerman
Of Monticello
MONTICELLO, Ind. — Services
will be at 2 p. m. Monday at the
Prevo funeral home for Mrs. Grace
Ackerman of Monticello, who died
late Friday at St. Elizabeth's hospital
in Lafayette where she had
been since April 15.
Born in Crown Point, Ind., she
was the daughter of Alexander
and Emma Beattie, her father being
editor of the Crown Point
Register. After her marriage to
Jasper L. Ackerman she moved to
Lowell and later to Monon. In
1901 the family moved to Monti-
cello. Mr. Ackerman died in Aug-
ust, 1931.
Mrs. Ackerman was a mem-
ber of the Methodist church here
and Crystal chapter No. 105, Order
of the Eastern Star, and formerly
belonged to the Fortnightly
club. Surviving are a daughter,
Miss Merle Ackerman, at home.
The Rev. Elaine E. Kirkpatrick
will conduct services and burial
will be in Riverview cemetery.
