Professional Baseball Player. Pitcher and outfielder in the Negro Leagues; he played for the New Orleans Black Pelicans and the New Orleans Athletics. A member of the New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame, Wright later went on to a long career in the New Orleans Public School System.
