Musician. Rhythm and Blues and Doo-Wop singer. He was a member of the 1950s group, The Platters. Their many hits include, "Only You (and Only You)," "The Great Pretender," "You've Got That Magic Touch," Twilight Time," "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes," "My Prayer" and "Heaven On Earth." He appeared in the films "Girls Town" (1959), "Rock All Night" (1957), "Girls Can't Help It" (1956), and "Rock Around The Clock" (1956). In 1990, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the other Platters.
