Artist. He studied in San Francisco at the School of Design. He followed Jules Tavernier to Monterey in 1876, which was the beginning of that city's art colony. Settling in Paterson in the 1880's, he became known for his landscapes, and his rendering of the Passaic Falls is nationally known.
