Notable ghost stories are "Ghost Stories of Chapelizod," "An Account of Some Strange Disturbances on Aungier Street" and "Green Tea." His short novella "Carmilla" is one of the earliest incarnations of the modern literary vampire and influenced the work of fellow Irishman Bram Stoker.
