Acclaimed Musician. One of the greatest banjo players, his successful career started in 1921 and lasted nearly fifty years. He served in the US Navy as a USN Commander, and toured extensively during WWII, as well as the Korean and Vietnam wars, playing shows to entertain troops. He suffered a fatal heart attack while playing a concert at Lookout House in Covington, Kentucky.
