Continental Congressman. Served as a Delegate to the Continental Congress from Massachusetts in 1782. Also served as a Member of the Massachusetts State House of Representatives in 1777, Member of the Massachusetts State Senate in 1789, and Massachusetts State Treasurer from 1802 to 1806.
