US Congressman. He graduated from Loyola University, from the DePaul University School of Law, in 1930, was admitted to the bar and commenced the practice of law in Chicago, Illinois, in 1931. He served as assistant Illinois State Attorney and was an assistant corporation counsel, for the City of Chicago. In 1961, he was elected as a Democrat to the Eighty-seventh and Eighty-eighth Congresses, serving until his resignation in 1964. He was then appointed judge for the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois and served until his death at age 65.
