Richard S. Jones
Richard S. Jones, 81, of Morgantown, died Saturday, Sept. 30, in a local nursing home, following a brief illness.
He was born in Clarksburg, Nov. 2, 1913, a son of the late Jesse Jones and Rose Smith Jones.
Surviving are three sons Jim Jones and Mark Jones, both of Winchester, Va., and Steve Jones, Chester, Va.; one daughter, Kathy and four grandchildren.
Mr. Jones retired from Union Carbide where he had worked as an engineer with 42 years of service.
Friends will be received from 1-2:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Davis Funeral Home, Clarksburg Chapel, at which time the funeral service will be held with Rev. Doctor Dale Waters, pastor of the Bridgeport United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Bridgeport Cemetery.
