She starred in many theatre productions in the Northeast and The North Carolina area before joining the Schubert Touring Company and performing in Howard Richardson's "Dark of the Moon" in the 1940s. In her later years, she became well known for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth in Paul Green's play "The Lost Colony." She was the wife of artist William Meade Prince.
