Entertainment Producer. He was a producer for theater and television. Born in East London, South Africa, he produced more than 20 plays and 3 television dramas from 1963 until 1992. He was the founding father of the black township theater. He was the first South African to tackle poverty, crime, and politics of the country's sprawling townships under white rule revolutionizing African urban theater with his gospel and jazz infused musicals. In 2004, he died of AIDS.
