Transcriptions in descending order of height. Cross: "'FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.'" Pedestal level 1: left side unreadable, front "IN THY PRESENCE IS THE", right side unknown. Pedestal level 2: "IN MEMORY OF CHARLOTTE ALINGTON, THE DEARLY LOVED WIFE OF THE REVD CHARLES CARY BARNARD, FORMERLY RECTOR OF BROCKLESBY, LINCOLNSHIRE. DIED AT DOVER 30TH JANUARY 1869, AGED 38." Pedestal level 3: "WHEN I AWAKE UP AFTER THY LIKENESS, I SHALL BE SATISFIED WITH IT." Sides of the plot: "AND THEY SANG [/] A NEW SONG." Front rail: "AS IT WERE."

Gravesite Details

In bad condition: missing most lettering except on sides, front rail broke off, cross fell off but is laying on the ground nearby, pedestal was covered with ivy till last month and is missing all lettering. Mostly overgrown with weeds.
