Died at his residence, in Boone County, near Mineral Ridge, June 29th, 1885, Jesse Bass, of complicated disease. He has been a constant sufferer for more than 19 years, and since April last has been mostly confined to his bed. He leaves his aged wife and large circle of relatives and many friends to mourn his death. He came to this county about 31 years ago and has lived here with the exception of some six years, which he spent in the southwest part of the state. He united with the Mineral Ridge Baptist church over 17 years ago. He was ready to go. His funeral was largely attended.
