Politician, Governor of Wisconsin. Son of a former Wisconsin governor, Walter Jodok Kohler, Sr., he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a delegate to Republican National Convention from Wisconsin in 1948 and 1956. He was elected governor of Wisconsin and served from 1951-57. He was also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
