We love genealogy and recognize the importance of it. We treasure the little bits and pieces that we are able to glean from the smallest specs of information. We do our best to help others as others have helped us... however...

Although it is our normal policy to attach memorials to those to whom know them best, we will no longer just randomly transfer memorials simply because they are in your genealogical tree. Findagrave is not a "collection" site. It is a Memorial site designed to honor those who've gone before us. We do not treat them as "property" to be traded or collected to increase your numbers and notoriety. If you have more data or biographical information, we will gladly verify and add it to the respective memorials and do any necessary linking to parents & spouses.

You can do this quite easily by clicking on the "Edit" tab at the upper right corner of the memorial. Once opened, you will see a "Suggest a correction or provide additional information" link. If you click on that link, a message box will appear that will allow you to send a message directly to the memorial creator who can then add the information as needed. You can easily check the box that will allow you to send a copy of each transmission to your own e-mail for your records as well.

If we have ownership of a memorial that you are related to, ask and we will either transfer ownership or may share accumulated information if you are closely related and can verify your relationship. If you'd like to use a photo for genealogical purposes that we have added... please just give credit where credit is due by referencing our ownership of the photo and where you located it. ~"Happy Hunting"
