Bio

We have enjoyed dabbling in our family geneology for many years but have recently become seriously hooked (obsessed some might say) since our children are grown and we have gained an abundance of available "together" time!

My maternal grandmother researched many years before the internet came along as did my husband's aunt. I grew up visiting the family cemeteries and always anxious to hear the stories of the stones. Who? What? When? Where? It was during those times I learned the importance of remembrance, respect and preservation of the final resting places of those gone long before us.

During the past few years while searching for anything that would help piece together the puzzles we were ultimately led to numerous on-line resources to include FINDAGRAVE.COM - we are so appreciative to all of those involved in this awesome endeavor!

We encourage contact from all possible relations and welcome any family links, leads, additions or corrections to our input of information. We are researching the following surnames -

His surnames:
Gumbert - Watson - McGehee - Evers - Maples - West - Peacock - Carroll - Asmus (Assmus) - Eiffert - Cox - Levering - Maxwell
Wilder - West - Polk - Jeter - Poore - Carver - Edwards - Storey - Heine - Harris - Acuff - Solomon - Andrews - Johnson - Dement - Wilburn - Weeden - etc.

Her surnames:
Keisler - Crundwell - Webster - Sledge - Fitzgerald - Swann - Prince - Crouch - Franklow - Wade - Wilkinson - Capers - Wooten - Kent - Sims - Wilson - Mitchell - Overby - Grinstead - Holman - Preston - Bennett - Shannon - Mills - Montgomery - Baker - Hibbard - Broadwater - Adamson - Moore - Jarrell - etc.

Without this network of wonderful selfless people we would not have the opportunity to link to those who have the same desire in obtaining and honoring their family history and heritage. While traveling their own roads and paths many members are more than willing to take the time in assisting a perfect stranger's quest in arriving at similar destinations. We too hope to help in those pursuits while mapping our own courses!

Blessings to all who have given so many countless miles and hours from the heart! And happy hunting!
