Doris June Lokovich, age 86 of Spring Lake and formerly of Ludington, died September 20, 2012 at Oak Crest AFC in Spring Lake, MI.
She was born November 08, 1925 in Scottville the daughter of the late Leonard and Edna (Metzger) Filbrun. She graduated from Scottville High School in the class of 1944 and then studied at Muskegon High School of Business for 2 years. Doris married Joseph Lokovich on June 28, 1947 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Ludington; he preceded her in death on December 15, 2001.
She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, the Rosary Society, and Catholic Daughters of America. She was employed for 20 years as a head cook at Lincoln Hills Golf Club.
Doris is survived by 3 daughters, Suzanne M. (Jon) Rock of Ferrysburg, Kathleen A. (Ronald) Schultz of Ludington, Barbara J. (Larry) Adamski of Spring Lake; son, Joseph A. Lokovich of Ludington; 2 grandchildren, Craig Schultz, Trisha Schultz of Ludington; and great-grandchildren, Londyn Wilson and Ashton Schultz.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Filbrun.
A funeral mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 24, 2012 at St. Simon Church in Ludington with Father Lamar Partin CSsR. Celebrant. Burial will be in Pere Marquette Cemetery. The family will received friends at the church beginning 1 hour prior to the service.
