Theodore Boeck, 89, Dies at His Home; Services Saturday - Theodore Boeck, 89, died this morning at his home in the township of Lewiston after three weeks of illness. Friends may call at the Port Funeral home after 3 pm Friday and until 10:30 am Saturday, when he will be taken to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour. Funeral services will be held Saturday at one thirty o'clock from the Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church. The Rev. Neil Marquart will officiate and burial will be made in Silver Lake cemetery. Surviviors are 3 daughters - Hazel, Mrs Emil Krivanek, Packwaukee; Marie, Mrs Lloyd Root, Portage; Francis, Mrs Arthur Roecker, Portage; 2 sons - Roy and Erwin, Lewiston; 2 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Theodore Boeck was born in Portage Wis on August 14, 1868, the son of the late Carl and Fredrika Boeck. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Portage. In his early life, he was employed by the Milwaukee Road. In 1895, he was united in marriage to Minnie Kleist and 6 children were born to this union. In 1905, he moved to a farm in the township of Lewiston where he made his home until his death. Mr Boeck served several terms on the Town Board and School Board. His wife and one son Carl preceded him in death.
Mr Boeck was in fair health until about one month ago, and he passed away on Thursday, Septemer 26, 1957 at the age of 89 years, 1 month, and 12 days. He leaves to mourn 3 daughters - Hazel, Mrs Emil Krivanek, Packwaukee; Marie, Mrs Lloyd Root; and Francis, Mrs Arthur Roecker, both of Portage. 2 sons Roy and Erwin, both of Lewiston; 2 grandchildren, Sania, Mrs Allen Zook and Susan Roecker, one great grandchild and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr Boeck were held Saturday at 1:30 o'clock from the Zion Evangelical United Brethren church. The Rev Neal H Marquart officiated. The text was Timothy four verses. Songs sang were Nearer My God to Thee and Beyond the Sunset played by Mrs Leonard Johnson at the piano and Mrs Swan at the organ. Pallbearers were Sam Pate, Rhinold Roecker, William Dopp, William Manteufel, Walter Manthey, and Arthur Zinke. Interment was made in Silver Lake cemetery.

Friends from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs Clara Kleist, Milwaukee; Mr and Mrs Lester Kleist, Menemonie Falls; Earl Kleist, Milwaukee; Mr and Mrs Ernest Schmitt, Madison; and Edward Krivanek, Packwaukee.
